Coriander (Coriandrum sativum) is an annual and it is widely used as a spice, for flavors and oils, also in candy and canning industry. All parts of the plant are edible but the fresh leaves and dried seeds are most used in the cuisine. It’s believed coriander comes from the Mediterranean and South-West Europe and people use it 5000 B.C. ago.
The coriander stem is 60-120cm tall and branched. The leaves are rough edged with long leafstalks. The flowers are small and white with pale pink or purple color.

    Coriander prefers generous soils that preserve the humidity and have alkalescent reaction.
