Useful advices
- Thyme Cultivation
-
Thyme is best cultivated in a hot sunny location with well drained soil. The plant reacts pretty well on fertilizing with natural and mineral fertilizers.
Thyme is generally planted in the spring and thereafter grows as a perennial. It can be propagated by seed, cuttings, or by dividing rooted sections of the plant.
It tolerates drought well. The requirements to the soil humidity are increase during the prick out. To control the soil humidity it’s recommended to use drip irrigation.
Thyme can take deep freezes and is found growing wild on mountain highlands.
